January 2012 – Precision Weather Service’s reputation for accuracy, dependability, personalized service and reasonable pricing means continued growth, and we did just that in 2011. We had the pleasure of working on more than 200 major Hollywood events from Reese Witherspoon & Molly Sims wedding to the Kardashian’s Sweet 16 and Christmas Eve parties, the NBA All Star game, Justin Biebers movie premiere and a DREAMWORKS concert in England.
Our meteorologists are also recognized worldwide for expertise in severe weather forecasting. President of Precision Weather Service, Wayne Mahar was the panel weather expert at the IFEA International Festivals and Events Association annual meeting in Dallas, Texas in October 2011. After tragedies at the Indiana State Fair, Toronto Bluesfest and a Belgium concert, weather for outdoor events is a hot topic. Wayne has also been tapped as the weather expert at Canadian Event Associations for 2012.

April 9, 2011 – We recently had the privilege of handling the forecasting for Reese Witherspoon’s wedding in beautiful Ojai, California. Working with renowned Hollywood wedding planner Yifat Oren, we provided detailed reports daily starting two weeks in advance. The pattern was unsettled, and with a wedding of this size being held outdoors on her ranch, any precipitation in the forecast was critical for everything from tenting to types of fabric used for decorations. As the wedding day and time approached, we monitored radar minute-by-minute and stayed in touch with the wedding planner, who was onsite, through the ceremony. I am happy to report, everything worked out great!

October 15, 2009 – Precision Weather expecting a cold winter of 2009-2010. Preliminary analysis of the current climate throughout the Northern Hemisphere and a strong analog match this year are all pointing to a colder than normal winter throughout much of the United States. While we are still putting the finishing touches on our winter forecast (due out by early November), we are leaning heavily toward a cold and somewhat stormy winter. This could lead to above-normal snowfall over much of the Northeast and much-above normal snowfall in the lake-effect snowbelt regions of the Great Lakes. To learn more about our winter forecasts services and get a copy of our detailed winter outlook (when it’s available!) , please call Wayne Mahar at (315) 638-1666 or Russ Murley at (207) 615-7877.
