Chris is also our regular voice for the Sunday morning radio schedule.
Chris is a native of San Diego, Calif., but has lived all over the country. After spending much of his childhood living in the Desert Southwest, Chris moved to Rochester Hills, Mich. when he was 14. It was there that he developed an interest in the weather. “I was exited to finally live in a place that experienced active weather and had four distinct seasons.” Chris knew then that meteorology would be his chosen profession.Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Penn State University. His career began as the weekend meteorologist at WSAW in Wausau, Wisconsin. After a year, he was promoted to the weekday morning and noon newscasts at WSAW.
He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and a certified storm spotter for the National Weather Service.
When he isn’t forecasting the weather, Chris enjoys roller blading, mountain biking, and playing golf.
